Briton Ferry Llansawel (12th) v The New Saints (2nd) | Wednesday – 19:45

Half way through the season in the JD Cymru Premier, but Briton Ferry Llansawel and The New Saints have two games in hand, and both against each other.

The first of those will be played this Wednesday night, and the second at Park Hall on the 22nd of December.

This will be the second time that the Saints make the trip to Briton Ferry this season, as the match had to be postponed early back in October after the heavy rain brought the game to a halt.

The New Saints are four points behind Pen-y-bont in the title race, and Craig Harrison’s crew will be keen to close that gap at the Old Road.

Briton Ferry Llansawel are at the bottom of the table, but with only three points separating the bottom three, a win for the Reds would lift them out of the relegation zone.

Briton Ferry Llansawel took the lead against TNS in the quarter-finals of the Welsh Cup last season, but the Saints scored five goals in the final half hour to secure a resounding victory (BFL 1-5 TNS).

Andy Dyer will be expecting a response from his players after a disappointing defeat against second-tier side Mold Alexandra in the Welsh Cup third round over the weekend, whilst the New Saints have progressed to the fourth round following their 3-1 away win at Cardiff Met.
