There’s no change at the top of the JD Cymru Premier following victories for the top four in midweek.
It’s extremely tight at the top of the table with just one point separating the top three, and it’s a similar story at the bottom too, with just one point separating the bottom three.
The New Saints have climbed to the summit on goal difference after securing four consecutive league victories, with the Cofis and Pen-y-bont hot on their heels.
At the bottom, Llanelli Town will be relieved to have secured their first win of the season on Tuesday night, while Haverfordwest County are in troubled times after losing four in a row.

The bottom two will meet at Steboneath Park on Friday night with just one point separating the teams in the relegation zone.
Llanelli Town claimed their first three points since their promotion on Tuesday night when they battled back to defeat 10-man Briton Ferry Llansawel at the Old Road.
Haverfordwest County on the other hand are on a run of four consecutive defeats following another disappointing result in midweek (Hav 2-3 Barr).
It’s no surprise that the bottom two sides have the worst attacking record this season, despite scoring twice apiece on Tuesday night.
This will be the first league meeting between the clubs since Haverfordwest County did the double over Llanelli Town in the second tier in 2019/20, but the teams have met in the Welsh Cup since then, with the Reds defeating the Bluebirds 2-0 at Bridge Meadow in the fourth-round last season.

Bala Town (4th) v The New Saints (1st) | Friday – 19:45
Bala Town continue to impress as the Lakesiders beat Colwyn Bay 1-0 for the second time this season to remain in 4th place.
Despite their promising position, goals have been scarce for Bala who have only netted nine goals in nine league games.
Two goals separate the Saints and Caernarfon at the top of the table with both clubs having won six, lost one and had two draws in the league this season.
After seeing off Flint Town United on Tuesday night, the Saints are now on a run of nine games without defeat, including five consecutive victories in all competitions.
Bala Town won their two league fixtures against The New Saints in the first phase of last season, but the Saints were able to get their revenge after the split, winning both matches in the second phase.

Pen-y-bont (3rd) v Colwyn Bay (6th) | Saturday – 14:30
Pen-y-bont have closed the gap on the league leaders with only a point separating the top three after Rhys Griffiths’ side won their last three league games.
James Crole was the star of the show for the visitors at Cyncoed Campus on Tuesday night, hitting a hat-trick against the Archers and creating the only other goal (Met 0-4 Pen).
Pen-y-bont boast the league’s best defensive record having conceded just six goals in nine games to date.
It was a frustrating night for Colwyn Bay on Tuesday night as the Seagulls lost 1-0 against Bala Town for the second time this season.
These teams have not met since March 2024 when Pen-y-bont came away with comfortable 5-0 win, with five different scorers finding the net for the Bont.

Barry Town United (5th) v Connah’s Quay (7th) | Saturday – 14:30
It was a sweet victory for Barry Town United on Tuesday night as Steve Jenkins’ side scored late to secure the three points at Bridge Meadow (Hav 2-3 Barr).
Barry Town United have risen to 5th place, and the aim for the Dragons will be to stay in the top half until the split in order to claim a place in the Top Six for the first time since the 2020/21 season.
After losing against Caernarfon Town, Connah’s Quay start the weekend in the bottom half on goal difference, but John Disney’s side still have a game in hand.
Barry Town United won three of their four fixtures against Connah’s Quay last season, and Linnets’ forward Ieuan Owen scored three times against the Nomads.

Flint Town United (9th) v Briton Ferry Llansawel (8th) | Saturday – 17:15 (Live online)
It will be an exciting battle at the Essity Stadium as only a point separates Flint Town United and Briton Ferry Llansawel, two clubs that finished in the Bottom Six last season but are aiming higher this year.
It was a night to forget for Llansawel on Tuesday night as the Reds became the first team to lose against Llanelli Town in the league this season.
Flint Town United have an excellent record against Briton Ferry as the teams met for the first time last season and the Silkmen managed to win three of the four contests, with the other match ending in a draw, and therefore Andy Dyer’s men have never beaten Lee Fowler’s folks.
Flint Town United defender and captain Harry Owen scored four goals against Briton Ferry Llansawel last season, including a hat-trick at the Essity Stadium in February.

Caernarfon Town (2nd) v Cardiff Met (10th) | Sunday – 14:30
With only one loss in 10 games in all competitions, it has been an excellent start to the season for Caernarfon Town who start the weekend level on points with The New Saints at the top of the table.
Caernarfon Town are the league’s top scorers with 27 goals, and frontman Adam Davies has scored eight of those, also chipping in with five assists.

It certainly hasn’t been the ideal start to the campaign for Cardiff Met who still haven’t won a league game this season.
It ended in a 2-2 draw in the corresponding match at Cyncoed Campus on the opening weekend of the season with Caernarfon Town stalwart Darren Thomas nicking a point for the Cofis in the dying seconds.
