10 games to go until the league split and it’s going to be some race to reach the Top Six this season as there’s currently only four points separating the seven clubs between the 4th and 10th positions.

Tuesday, 9 November

Caernarfon Town (5th) v Connah’s Quay (7th) | Tuesday – 19:45

After an unexpected slow start to the season, champions Connah’s Quay seem to have turned the corner following three consecutive 4-0 victories against Holywell Town, Cefn Druids and Bala Town.

The Nomads had dropped down to 10th place after a run of eight league games without a win, but things have finally fallen into place for Craig Harrison on the back of a tricky transition period for the club.

Huw Griffiths was also celebrating on Saturday as the Canaries ended their poor run of four successive defeats with a 1-0 win away at Cardiff Met.

But it will be a tough test for the Cofis on Tuesday as they have failed to win any of their previous eight meetings with Connah’s Quay (lost 6, drawn 2).

Cefn Druids (12th) v Flint Town United (2nd) | Tuesday – 19:45

With just one point from their last 21 league games, Cefn Druids are in deep trouble at the bottom of the table.

Cefn Druids chairman Des Williams took to the club’s website to blast the players over their “embarrassing display” following their 5-0 defeat at the hands of Newtown on Friday night.

Flint Town United, who were the other team to finish in the bottom two last season, are having much more joy on the field and remain in second spot after five league games without a loss.

The visitors will no doubt be the favourites as Flint Town United have scored 15 goals in their last three games against Cefn Druids without reply (FLINT 4-0 CEFN, CEFN 0-6 FLINT, FLINT 5-0 CEFN).

Haverfordwest County (10th) v Barry Town United (8th) | Tuesday – 19:45

Haverfordwest County will be eager to bounce back after being on the receiving end of a 6-0 drubbing at the hands of The New Saints on Saturday.

Barry Town United are undefeated in their last four outings and Gavin Chesterfield will be determined to see his Dragons climb the table to reach the Top Six for the fourth year running.

Home advantage could prove pivotal in this fixture as the last six meetings between the two sides have been won by whichever team played at home (Barry 4, Hav 2).

Barry Town United: ❌❌➖✅➖

Pen-y-bont (4th) v Cardiff Met (9th) | Tuesday – 19:45

Cardiff Met have slid down to 9th place after winning only one in five in the league, scoring just twice in the process.

Pen-y-bont will need an improved performance after losing 3-1 at Flint Town United on Saturday.

It ended 3-2 to Cardiff Met in the reverse fixture back in August with Adam Roscrow, Eliot Evans and Harry Owen netting for the students.

Cardiff Met: ❌✅➖❌❌

Newtown (3rd) v Bala Town (6th) | Tuesday – 19:45

Despite being tipped to be title contenders at the start of the season, Bala Town are in danger of dropping into the bottom half of the table following a dire streak of five league games without a victory.

Newtown, on the other hand will have an upbeat camp as the Robins are flying high having won five of their last six league matches.

But Bala Town have the upper hand in the recent head-to-head record after coming out on top in the last five meetings with Newtown, including the 3-1 win in the Nathaniel MG Cup only two weeks ago.

Newtown: ✅✅✅❌✅

Bala Town: ➖❌➖❌❌

Aberystwyth Town (11th) v The New Saints (1st) | Tuesday – 20:00

The New Saints are seven points clear at the summit and are in unstoppable form with Anthony Limbrick’s men unbeaten in their last 15 games in all competitions (won 13, drawn 2).

It’s been a frustrating start to the season for Aberystwyth Town who are four points from safety after scoring just five goals in their last 11 league games.

The New Saints have only won on one of their last three visits to Park Avenue, but that was a resounding victory back in August 2019 (Aber 1-10 TNS).

League form:

Aberystwyth Town: ❌✅❌❌➖

The New Saints: ✅✅➖✅✅
