We look ahead to the three Tuesday night fixtures in the JD Cymru Premier with the top five all in action.

Tuesday, 16 March

Bala Town (3rd) v Connah’s Quay (1st) | Tuesday – 19:45 (Facebook / Youtube / S4C Clic)

After nine consecutive victories, the Nomads’ remarkable run came to an end in a goalless draw at Pen-y-bont on Saturday, but Connah’s Quay remain top of the table as their unbeaten run extended to 11 games.

Bala Town have also been in fine form this season and are currently on a streak of 14 games without defeat, but with a game in hand, Colin Caton’s men are still nine points adrift of the Nomads.

Connah’s Quay haven’t lost any of their last eight meetings with Bala Town (won 6, drawn 2), and Andy Morrison’s Nomads have only lost one of their last 18 against the Lakesiders.

Pen-y-bont (5th) v Barry Town (4th) | Tuesday – 19:45

Both teams go into the game on the back of impressive results as Pen-y-bont became the first team since October to pick up a point against the Nomads, while Barry Town scored an 87th minute winner against Aberystwyth on Saturday.

Pen-y-bont won the reverse fixture between these sides only a week ago when Sam Snaith netted the only goal of the game at Jenner Park following Clayton Green’s red card for the Dragons.

A win for either club would take them within touching distance of securing a Top Six place.

The New Saints (2nd) v Cefn Druids (12th) | Tuesday – 19:45

There were defeats for both of these managerless clubs over the weekend, with TNS losing against Haverfordwest County for the first time since 2004.

The Oswestry outfit will expect to strike back immediately under caretaker boss Chris Seargeant, as the Saints are unbeaten in their last 21 meetings with the Druids (won 19, drawn 2).

The New Saints have won their last six games against Cefn Druids, scoring 26 times in the process, with experienced frontman Greg Draper grabbing half of those goals (13).

Highlights of the midweek matches will be on Mwy o Sgorio on Wednesday at 22:00.
