Sgorio picks five players who have stood out in the Cymru Premier this week.
Alex Ramsay – Bala Town
A heroic performance by Alex Ramsay in goal for Bala Town on Saturday, and although Colin Caton’s men lost 0-1 against The New Saints the keeper was influential in keeping the score down by preventing Jon Routledge, Adam Roscrow and Simon Spender from doubling the Saints advantage.
Colin Caton’s team had to call on Ramsay again on Tuesday night as he saved a Kane Owen free kick brilliantly to ensure Bala Town claimed the three-points in a 2-3 win over Pen-y-bont.
Kostya Georgievsky – Pen-y-bont
Pen-y-bont ended Connah’s Quay’s 26-game game unbeaten home run in the Cymru Premier, with Kostya Georgievsky scoring the second in a 0-2 victory.
He scored again on Tuesday night against Bala Town, but Rhys Griffiths’ men lost by 2-3.
Danny Davies – Connah’s Quay Nomads
The Man of the Match scored twice in the live fixture between Caernarfon and Connah’s Quay.
Davies has been a key part of the Champions team since joining from Prestatyn over the summer creating eight of his goals – third on the top assist chart – and scoring four.
Ryan Brobbel – The New Saints
Since returning from injury the attacking midfielder has shone for the Saints scoring eight in four games.
He scored the only goal of the game in the victory over Bala Town on Saturday, before scoring four against Barry Town at Jenner Park on Tuesday night.
The Saints have climbed to the top of the table under Anthony Limbrick’s managements and Brobbel’s fitness will be vital if the club is to win the Cymru Premier title from Deeside.
Josh Amis – Flint Town United
The striker impressed on Tuesday with two assists and scoring a brilliant goal as Flint beat Cefn Druids 5-0 on Tuesday night.
This is his Amiss’ first goal for the club since joining from Warrington in January 2021.
Flint Town have had a good week winning two in a row for the first time this season and have climbed out of the bottom two positions.
