Wales beat Mexico in a friendly at Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday night as Kieffer Moore scored the only goal of the game.

Chris Gunter won his 100th cap in the game – the first in the history of the Welsh men’s international team.

Wales opened the scoring after 10 minutes of play, good work by Jonny Williams on the right wing to cross into the six yard with Kieffer Moore there to net past Ochoa, the Mexican goalkeeper.

It was a completely different look for the Wales team that lost to Belgium on Thursday night, with Robert Page experimenting with the 11 that started.

Ben Cabango, Rabbi Matondo and Dylan Levitt all had a chance to start – with Wales gaining a good result against a Mexico side ranked ninth in the Fifa World rankings.

Wales will be turn their attention back to the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, with the Czech Republic traveling to Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday night for Wales’ second match in the qualifying matches.
