The New Saints (10th) v Aberystwyth Town (9th) | Tuesday – 19:45

The New Saints have made history this year by reaching one of Europe’s main competitions for the first time ever.

The Oswestry outfit will face Fiorentina, Djurgarden, Astana, Shamrock Rovers, Panathinaikos and Celje in the UEFA Conference League this season.

But while the Saints have been busy with their qualifying games in Europe, their league matches have been postponed, and so the champions are in an unfamiliar position down in 10th place with four games in hand.

After the recent success it is no surprise that other clubs have eyed the Saints’ best players, and this week it was announced that last season’s top scorer, Brad Young has signed for Al-Orobah in Saudi Arabia.

Despite playing three more games than the Saints, Aberystwyth Town are only one point above the champions having won just once in four league outings so far.

The Saints on the other hand have won 27 league games in a row, and have not lost in the JD Cymru Premier since February 2023 (Met 3-2 TNS).

Aberystwyth Town managed to beat the Saints 1-0 at Park Avenue back in November 2021, but the Ceredigion clan have not won away from home against TNS for over 30 years (November 1993) .
