After slipping up in their midweek matches, Connah’s Quay and The New Saints will go head–to–head on Saturday for the last time this campaign in a match that could potentially decide where the title goes this season. The Nomads go into the weekend two points above their opponents, but TNS know that their fate remains in their own hands.
CHAMPIONSHIP CONFERENCE
Caernarfon Town (6th) v Pen-y-bont (4th) | Saturday – 14:30
After six consecutive defeats not many would have been brave enough to back Caernarfon Town against The New Saints on Tuesday night, but the Cofis claimed an unanticipated point despite finishing the game with only nine men on the field.
Twice the Saints put the ball in the Caernarfon net, but the officials cancelled out both goals, and Greg Draper also missed a penalty for the home team which resulted in the Cofis picking up their first point since the split.
It was a good result for Huw Griffiths’ men but the Canaries remain without a goal in three games and are now winless in seven outings.
Pen-y-bont have climbed five points clear in 4th place and are therefore the favourites going into the play-offs.
Previous results: Caernarfon Town 1-1 Pen-y-bont, Pen-y-bont 6-0 Caernarfon Town, Pen-y-bont 2-0 Caernarfon Town

Barry Town United (5th) v Bala Town (3rd) | Saturday – 14:30
Following their fantastic victory at home to Connah’s Quay on Wednesday night, Bala Town could secure the third spot this Saturday.
If the Lakesiders win and Pen-y-bont fail to beat Caernarfon Town, then Colin Caton’s side will seal their place in Europe.
Barry Town United have been in poor form lately, picking up only one point in their last five games.

Connah’s Quay (1st) v The New Saints (2nd) | Saturday – 17:15 (S4C)
It’s advantage Connah’s Quay in the title race following the Nomads’ first away win against The New Saints in 25 years.
Michael Wilde was the hero of the hour last Saturday, netting a first-half hatrick against his former club to lift the Nomads to the top of the league.
But after putting everything they had into that epic encounter, both Connah’s Quay and The New Saints failed to win their following matches with TNS playing out a goalless draw with Caernarfon, before the Nomads were beaten by Bala Town.
With four games left to play, Connah’s Quay are two points above their Oswestry opponents, therefore a draw result would please Andy Morrison much more than it would Anthony Limbrick.
The Nomads are unbeaten in their last three home meetings with the Saints and have kept clean sheets in the last two contests between the sides at the Deeside Stadium.
