Haverfordwest County (7th) v The New Saints (1st) | Saturday – 14:30
There is one league game left to be played before Christmas, a rearranged match between Haverfordwest County and The New Saints after the original fixture was postponed at the beginning of December due to the frost.
The New Saints are enjoying a run of 26 games without defeat in all competitions, and have won 18 in a row, breaking six points clear at the top of the league with two games in hand.
This is the Oswestry outfit’s best run since August 2016 to February 2017, and during that time they broke the world record with 27 consecutive wins.
It will be quite a challenge for Haverfordwest County who aim to secure a place in the Top Six for the first time since the league was cut down to 12 teams.
Haverfordwest County have only lost one of their last seven league games (vs Bala), and the Bluebirds won in Caernarfon last weekend to close the gap to just three points between themselves and the Cofis (6th).
However, the Saints have won their previous five meetings with Haverfordwest County, including a 5-1 victory at Park Hall in September where Ryan Brobbel scored a hat-trick after coming on as a second-half substitute.
Games before the split:
Haverfordwest County: Barr (h), Aber (a), Bala (a)
The New Saints: Cfon (h), CQ (a), Met (h), New (h)
