Connah’s Quay are keeping the pressure on Barry Town United in the race for 7th place, with the Nomads having won four of their last five games, closing the gap between themselves and the Dragons to five points.
Billy Paynter’s team have not conceded in their last three games and Rhys Hughes continues to shine in the attacking line after he scored another classy goal against Aberystwyth Town on Friday night, his 11th league goal this season.
Flint Town United are only five points above the relegation places and therefore Lee Fowler will demand a performance from his squad to try to climb clear of the bottom two.
The clubs have met three times this season with Connah’s Quay winning twice, including a 7-2 demolition on Boxing Day, before the Silkmen beat the Nomads 2-1 in January.

Five games remaining and it’s only through goal difference that Briton Ferry Llansawel are above Newtown in the safety of 10th place, whilst the Robins are lurking in the relegation zone.

It was a hard-fought victory for Barry Town united on Friday night with Ollie Hulbert and Ieuan Owen both grabbing a brace apiece at the Old Road (BFL 3-4 Barr).
Barry Town United therefore remain five points clear in the race for 7th place and hope to compete in the play-offs for the first time since the 2020/21 season.
Aberystwyth Town are in an extremely dangerous position, eight points below the safety of 10th place with only five games left to play.
The Ceredigion clan have lost seven of their last eight games and have failed to score in their last four contests.
Aberystwyth Town and Newtown have been continuous members of the Welsh Premier League since 1992, but the two mid-Wales sides are in danger of falling into the second tier this year.
Aberystwyth Town won 1-0 at home against Barry Town United in August, but the Dragons have beaten the Seasiders twice since then with Ollie Hulbert netting in both games.
