Aberystwyth v Flint | Friday – 7.45
A disappointing result for Aberystwyth at Park Avenue on the opening day of the season with a 2-3 loss to Cardiff Met after leading 2-1.

Gavin Allen’s team picked up a point in their midweek away game at Pen-y-bont, Louis Bradford scored his first goal for the club in a 1-1 draw.

Experience goalkeeper, Connor Roberts re-joins Aberystwyth on loan from The New Saints until January.

Flint Town won their first game back in the Premier League last Saturday, Nathan Craig scoring a wonderful free kick in a 1-0 win over Newtown.

The clubs have not met in the league at Park Avenue since 1997, a win for the home side with now manager Gavin Allen scoring for Aberystwyth.

Barry v Caernarfon | Saturday – 2.30
A disappointing result for Barry Town on the opening day of the season, with The New Saints winning 0-3 at Jenner Park.

Gavin Chesterfield will be hoping for a better this Saturday, especially if the club hope to be in contention for an automatic European place again this season.

Barry have been busy strengthening the squad, former Newport forward Nathaniel Jarvis joining from Chippenham Town with Curtis Hutson also joining from Bridgend.

Caernarfon sit top of the league after an unbeaten start to the season, a draw at The Oval (1-1) v Pen-y-bont and a good away win at Latham Park (2-3) v Newtown.

There’s a new look for Caernarfon this season, Huw Griffiths takes over for his first season in charge with several new additions to the squad, with the new players making an instant impression.

Mike Hayes scoring on his first appearance and appearing in Sgorio’s 5-on-form with Paulo Mendes scoring in the victory over Newtown.

It was a 1-1 draw between the sides back in February, Momodou Touray scoring for Barry Town and Darren Thomas for the Cofis.

After all their hard work in preparation for their return to the Premier League, Haverfordwest were disappointed to hear that their opening match of the season against Cefn Druids had been postponed – Cefn failed to comply with the FAW Covid-19 guidelines.

They had to wait until their trip to Cyncoed to face Cardiff Met on Tuesday to start their campaign, returning from the capital with a point following a scoreless match.

Newtown have had a disappointing start to the season. Losing 1-0 on the opening day of the season to the other league newcomers, Flint Town before losing 2-3 to Caernarfon after leading twice in the midweek fixture.

Chris Hughes’ team travels south west without a point after two games. If they are to aim for the top six then this is a game they will target as on to get points from.

The last time the teams met at Bridge Meadow Newtown were the winners, Jason Oswell scoring in a 0-1 win back in November 2015.

The New Saints v Cardiff Met | Sunday – 2.30
The New Saints hope to regain the league title after Connah’s Quay won their first Cymru Premier championship last season.

The Saints were champions for 8 consecutive seasons – and Scott Ruscoe’s team got off to the perfect start to their Wales Premier campaign by beating Barry Town on Jenner Park 0-3.

Despite a good start in the league, The Saints were disappointed in midweek losing on penalties to B36 Torshavn in the second qualifying round of the Europa League.

Cardiff Met have got off to a good start to the season, winning 2-3 on Park Avenue v Aberystwyth after trailing 2-1.

Oliver Hulbert scored two on his first appearance for the club after signing on loan from Bristol Rovers.

It was a 0-0 draw in the midweek match at Cyncoed between Met and Haverfordwest.

The last time the teams met at Park Hall Cardiff Met were the winners, Joel Edwards and Will Evans scoring in a 1-2 victory over The New Saints.

Connah’s Quay v Bridgend | Sunday – 2.30
A home draw in the opening match of the season for Cymru Premier champions, Connah’s Quay. A stunning Sameron Dool strike in the last seconds of the match secured a point for Andy Morrison’s men.

Connah’s Quay also competed in the second qualifying round of the Europa League on Thursday night, but lost with the last kick of the match to Dinamo Tbilisi.
Connor Roberts fouled in the penalty area and Giorgi Gabedava scoring from the spot kick to send the Georgian side through.
A good start to the season for Bridgend, Mael Davies scoring on his first appearance for the club with the team securing a point at the Oval in a 1-1 draw against Caernarfon.

Rhys Griffiths’ team had a 1-1 draw against Aberystwyth in the midweek fixture at the Kymco Stadium, Nathan Wood’s powerful shot from outside the penalty area opened the scoring.

The last time the clubs met at the Deeside Stadium Connah’s Quay won, Jamie Insall scoring twice and Callum Morris from a penalty in the 3-1 win in September 2019.

Bala v Cefn Druids | Sunday – 2.30

Bala Town drew their opening fixture at Connah’s Quay, Sameron Dool scoring a stunning strike in the final moments of the game to salvage a draw for the champions.
A valiant effort from Colin Caton’s men saw them lose 2-0 to one of Belgium football’s biggest names, Standard Liege on Thursday night, thus exiting the Europa League.

Druids have not yet played a game after their two opening fixtures were postponed by the Cymru Premier – the league declaring that the club has failed to comply with Covid guidelines.

Bruno Lopes is the new manager of Cefn Druids following Stuart Gelling’s brief stint with the club, with the club finishing 8th in the Welsh Premier last season.

The last time the clubs met at Maes Tegid Cefn Druids were winners, Jamie Reed scoring twice in a 1-2 victory.
