Nine games to go in the JD Cymru Premier season and both The New Saints and Connah’s Quay are level on points at the top of the table.

CHAMPIONSHIP CONFERENCE

Caernarfon Town (6th) v Connah’s Quay (2ndTuesday – 19:45 (S4C)

Andy Morrison will demand a reaction from his side following Connah’s Quay’s first home defeat in two years on Saturday, which cost the Nomads their place at the summit.

Caernarfon Town were also left disappointed after conceding in injury time to lose 1-0 at home to Barry Town United, thus failing to close the gap on Bala Town in the hunt for European qualification.

Connah’s Quay have won their last four matches against Caernarfon Town, while the Cofis have only won one of their last nine meetings with the Nomads.

Pen-y-bont (5th) Bala Town (3rd) Tuesday – 19:45

Pen-y-bont claimed an impressive victory at the Deeside Stadium on Saturday, and another win for Rhys Griffiths’ side would leave Pen-y-bont only a point behind Bala Town in the battle for 3rd spot.

But the head-to-head statistics does not look favourable for Pen-y-bont as they’ve lost all four of their previous meetings with Bala Town, conceding 19 goals (4.75 goals per game).

Bala Town have lost four of their last five gamesand failing to qualify for Europe would be a major blow for Colin Caton’s side who were considered to be title contenders at the start of the season.

Both teams will be full of confidence after winning 1-0 over the weekend – TNS beat Bala Town to go top of the table, while Barry Town United scored late at the Oval and are now within three points of the European places.

Barry Town United go into this game on the back of three consecutive victories, while The New Saints can go one better, as they’rcurrently on a four-match winning streak.

The New Saints have won their last seven games at Jenner Park, and it’s been almost 20 years since the Saints last lost away to Barry Town United.

PLAY-OFF CONFERENCE

Cardiff Met (11th) v Newtown (8th) | Tuesday – 19:45

After beating Aberystwyth Town on Friday night, Newtown are now only six points adrift of the 7th position, and a place in the play-offs.

Cardiff Met are on a dreadful run of 10 games without a win and are now only one point above bottom side, Cefn Druids.

But the students may have the upper hand as home advantage has been a key factor in this fixture over recent years, with the home side winning the last nine meetings between these clubs.

Flint Town United (10th) v Cefn Druids (12thTuesday – 19:45

It’s been a frustrating campaign for both Flint Town United and Cefn Druids, but since both teams enjoyed rare victories on Saturday, they will now hope to build some momentum in the second phase of the season.

Flint Town United are the only club not to have drawn a game in the league this season, while Cefn Druids will be looking for their first away win since beating the Silkmen at Cae-y-Castell in December.
