The New Saints are leading the way in the Cymru Premier after the opening 12 games, with the champions six points clear at the top of the table following 11 consecutive victories.
Pen-y-bont had been unbeaten until last weekend, when Connah’s Quay secured a 1-0 victory over the Bont, moving above them into second place.
It will be another tough game for Rhys Griffiths’ side this weekend when Pen-y-bont (3rd) welcome Barry Town United (4th) to the Dragonbet Stadium.
Ammanford have climbed to 14th after securing their first-ever victory in the top flight, against Holywell Town, who remain at the bottom of the table.
Things don’t get any easier for the Wellmen as they prepare to face The New Saints, who won 9-0 against Cambrian United on Saturday afternoon.
And new Flint Town United manager Danny Holmes will be keen to maintain his 100% record as the Silkmen look to make it three wins on the bounce when they host Colwyn Bay on Saturday.

Cambrian United (9th) v Ammanford (14th) | Friday – 19:45
For the second time this season, Cambrian United have conceded nine goals in a game after being thrashed at Park Hall on Saturday afternoon (TNS 9-0 Cambrian).
Two weeks earlier, Cambrian United lost 9-1 away at Caernarfon, with Liam Williams’ side being reduced to 10 men in both games.
But Cambrian United have a much better record at home, and are one of four teams yet to lose on home soil this season (TNS, Pen-y-bont, Colwyn Bay).
There was finally reason to celebrate for Ammanford on Saturday afternoon as they secured their first-ever victory in the top flight (Ammanford 2-1 Holywell).
Holywell (38) are the only team to have conceded more goals than Cambrian (32) and Ammanford (32) this season, but Cambrian’s goalscoring record is considerably stronger than their opponents, with Liam Eason alone having scored the same number of goals as the entire Ammanford squad (9).
The clubs met twice in the Cymru South last season, with both games ending in draws.

Haverfordwest County (12th) v Caernarfon Town (5th) | Friday – 19:45
Haverfordwest County have been performing below their recent standards this season, with the Bluebirds sitting 12th after losing their last three games by a single goal.
A 1-0 defeat was also the story for Caernarfon Town over the weekend, with Barry Town moving above the Cofis after securing all three points at The Oval.
No team has picked up more away points than Caernarfon this season (14), having won four and drawn two without losing once.
Zack Clarke is the league’s top scorer with 11 goals, which is more than Haverfordwest County’s entire tally, with the Bluebirds having the second-worst attacking record in the league (7 goals in 12 games).
However, Haverfordwest have an impressive record against the Cofis, with Tony Pennock’s side unbeaten in the last 10 meetings between the clubs (3 wins, 7 draws).

Llandudno (10th) v Airbus UK (8th) | Friday – 19:45
After a flying start to the season, Llandudno have now slipped to 10th after picking up just one point from their last five games.
Jordan Hadaway’s side had been unbeaten in 25 home games before Saturday’s 0-1 defeat at Maesdu Park against Cardiff Met.
Airbus are the only team in the league yet to draw a game, and of the six newcomers, Mark Allen’s side are now the highest-placed in the table (8th).
Airbus have won nine of their last 10 games against Llandudno, but Jordan Hadaway’s side defeated the Broughton boys 5-0 on Halloween last season, with Callum Stephens scoring a hat-trick at Maesdu Park.

Briton Ferry Llansawel (11th) v Connah’s Quay (2nd) | Friday – 19:45
After securing their first victory since August by beating Colwyn Bay 1-0 on Saturday afternoon, Briton Ferry Llansawel will welcome another north Wales club to the Old Road this weekend.
Briton Ferry have the worst disciplinary record in the league this season, with the Reds receiving their fourth red card over the weekend as Ricky Lee-Owen was sent off.
Connah’s Quay have climbed to second place after winning four games in a row, ending Pen-y-bont’s unbeaten run on Saturday afternoon (CQ 1-0 Pen).
The Nomads won both of their meetings with Briton Ferry last season, with Harry Franklin scoring five goals against Andy Dyer’s side, including a hat-trick at the Old Road in October.

Cardiff Met (7th) v Trefelin (15th) | Friday – 19:45
It was a big win for Cardiff Met over the weekend (Llandudno 0-1 Met), meaning the Archers have lost just once in their last eight league games (4 wins, 3 draws).
Only one point separates Cardiff Met (7th) and Colwyn Bay (6th), who are Ryan Jenkins’ side’s next opponents, and the capital club will be determined to break into the Top Six.
After winning the Cymru South championship last season, Trefelin’s results have been disappointing this year, with Andy Hill’s side still waiting for their first victory in the top flight (3 draws, 9 defeats).
Trefelin have scored just five goals in their opening 12 games, and they will need to raise their standards to get anything out of their first-ever meeting with Cardiff Met.

Pen-y-bont (3rd) v Barry Town United (4th) | Friday – 19:45
Pen-y-bont’s unbeaten record came to an end last weekend as they suffered a 1-0 away defeat against Connah’s Quay.
But the Blues are still unbeaten at home this season, despite scoring just nine goals in six games at the Dragonbet Stadium (1.5 goals per game).
Barry Town United have not lost in their last three games against Pen-y-bont (2 wins, 1 draw), and the Linnets were the last team to win away at Pen-y-bont, doing so in April (Pen 0-2 Barry).
Steve Jenkins’ side have climbed back up to fourth place after beating Caernarfon Town on Saturday (Caernarfon 0-1 Barry), and another three points on Friday would see them move above Pen-y-bont.

Holywell Town (16th) v The New Saints (1stf) | Friday – 19:45
Holywell Town have had a disastrous start to the season, picking up just two points from their opening 12 games while conceding 38 goals (3.2 goals per game).
After 11 consecutive victories, The New Saints sit at the top of the table and remain unbeaten this season (11 wins, 1 draw).
The Saints thrashed Cambrian United 9-0 last weekend, securing their biggest league victory since December 2022 (TNS 11-0 Aberystwyth).
The champions’ goalkeeper Nathan Shepperd has kept seven clean sheets in 12 league games, conceding just five goals so far.
This will be the first meeting between the teams since September 2015, when the Saints won 7-1 in the second round of the League Cup.
Holywell Town have not beaten the Saints for 31 years, with their last victory coming in August 1995 (Holywell Town 2-1 Llansantffraid).

Flint Town United (13th) v Colwyn Bay (6th) | Saturday – 17:15
Flint Town United had gone 16 games without a win in all competitions when Danny Holmes took over as manager at the end of September, and remarkably, Holmes has won his first two games in charge.
After beating Ammanford 3-0 in his first game, Flint followed that up with a 0-1 away victory at Haverfordwest County last weekend, meaning the Silkmen have yet to concede under their new manager.
It was an unexpected defeat for Colwyn Bay against 10-man Briton Ferry Llansawel on Saturday afternoon, having previously won four consecutive league games for the first time in their Cymru Premier history.
Colwyn Bay have a perfect home record this season (played 6, won 6), but the Seagulls have won just one of their six away games so far.
The clubs met twice last season, with the away side winning on both occasions (Flint 0-1 Bay, Bay 1-2 Flint).
